These Terms govern your use of the ZimDrive rider app, the ZimDrive Driver app, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by ZimDrive (Pvt) Ltd (“ZimDrive”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Zimbabwe at 90 Piers Road, Borrowdale, Harare.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ZimDrive is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. We are a marketplace, not a transport operator.
We do not provide transportation services. Drivers using the Service are independent contractors. They are not our employees, agents or partners. We do not own, lease or control the vehicles, and we do not direct how, when or where a driver works.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@zimdrive.org if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, that we reasonably believe is involved in fraud or unsafe conduct, or where required by law.
When you request a ride we show an estimated fare based on the expected route and distance. Estimates are not guarantees — the final fare may differ if the route changes, if you add or change a destination, or if waiting time is incurred.
You may cancel a ride before it begins. A cancellation fee may apply where a driver has already travelled towards your pickup point. Repeated cancellations may result in restrictions on your account.
You agree not to: behave abusively, threateningly or unlawfully towards a driver or rider; damage a vehicle; carry illegal items; request a driver to break traffic laws; or use the Service for anything other than a genuine journey. Drivers agree to drive lawfully and safely, to maintain their vehicle in a roadworthy condition, and to treat riders with respect.
Fares may be paid in cash or from your ZimDrive wallet. Wallet top-ups are processed by Paynow; we never receive your mobile-money PIN or card details.
Fares, commission rates and fees may change. Changes take effect when published in the app and do not apply retrospectively to completed rides.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law:
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Drivers are responsible for holding the insurance required by Zimbabwean law for carrying passengers for reward. ZimDrive does not provide insurance cover for riders, drivers, vehicles or third parties, and you should not rely on the Service for any such cover.
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The ZimDrive name, logo, apps and all related software and content are owned by us and protected by law. You may use them only as needed to use the Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or resell any part of the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at support@zimdrive.org — most issues are resolved quickly and informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date above, and material changes will be notified in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
